Lesbian-ish Artwork
I have that picture on the back of my iPod Touch. I love it. Whenever someone see’s it they always comment on it and I can see from the “Ahh ah!” Look on their face that they’ve connected the dots and realized I’m gay.
The artist is Stella Im Hultberg and from some of her work I wonder if she’s a lesbian?
Is it just me or doesn’t this last print remind you of Jenny from the L Word?

I’ve seen my oldest daughter look at that artist’s work before and she has some of it on her computer. It’s very nice. When my daughter’s not photographing she’s sketching. I think she ran into this artist on a website she visits, a community or something. I wish we were on better speaking terms… but… uh… she’s 13. So… I guess that takes a while.
Anyway my favorite that you posted is the third, with the girls… and the intertwined fingers. Very subtle.
They all look like Jenny Schecter to me. =)

Have you heard of Audrey Kawasaki? She definitely has a lot of pieces where there are two girls doing something lesbian-ish lol. Her style is pretty similar to Stella Im Hultberg’s work actually. Its smoother and the colors are more muted. Anyways check her out!

Sasha, I do think that last pic looks like Jenny or at least takes on the spirit of the character she plays. And, I must say that Mia is playing her role to the tee. I hope she comes into the light soon.

@ Femmelover- My thoughts and prayers/well wishes go out to you during this time (see No H8 Campaign post I wrote you there). I totally understand- going through same thing w/my aunt’s “passing” and w life in general. Anyhow, I really hope you are doing ok my friend.

@ Jazmenha – That family needs so much help and I am so glad that so many on CCL are pitching in. Very commendable to all that have resources to help guide them.
As far as you going away to take care of Jazmenha…I think all situations are relative to our lives. Things happen that we cannot control. We just need to learn to fight through these difficulties, in whatever capacity they tend to bring us harm.
